We have some friends out there on the countryside and it’s a very cute little village with a lot of nice and creative people who fled the city and try out different styles of living. The weather was capricious and much colder than the pictures suggest.
Sometimes Pavlov gets out of his instagram mode and eats his paws.
On our way home we saw at least 30 deer next to the street.
We took a family tour around Dammwiesen in a marvelous and intense light. Everything was blue and yellow, we were able to hike in t-shirts for the first time of the year and in the evening our cheeks were glowing from all the sun we got. Pavlov made friends with the donkeys but even if the oxes were still babies, he showed a lot of respect. Maybe the corns? Anyway: Even in February there a already ticks. I took four Dermacentor reticulatus (Auwaldzecke, marsh ticks) out of his fur the next day. Time to get him vaccinated.
We had a nice hike through the hilly forests near Bad Freienwalde. Between Buckow and Fürstenwalde/Spree you find the small village of Hoppegarten (not to confuse with Hoppegarten next to Berlin). From there you can take a beautiful walk around the lakes.
