The Jewish Cemetary of Berlin-Weißensee is the biggest still existing Jewish Cemetery in Europe with around 42 hectare (1000m x 500 m) and 116.000 graves. Unlike a lot of other cemeteries in Germany I have visited, it is still active. Since the 70s it is listed as a historic monument.
Other Jewish cemetaries:
House of Eternity: The Jewish Cemetery in Berlichingen
Odenwald Hike: Islands Of Noise In An Ocean Of Silence
It’s a very calming, beautiful and meaningful walk in the center of Berlin.
Very solemn, thought provoking and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Dano. Yes, it’s a very particular atmosphere. With a mountain of world history, blood and tears behind it.
